Welcome to Hockey Plus Minus ("the App"), provided by Weiss Tech Hockey / Jeremy Weiss ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
1. The Service
Hockey Plus Minus is a mobile application designed for hockey coaches to track player statistics, manage rosters, and utilize artificial intelligence to analyze game data and scan official gamesheets.
2. Auto-Renewable Subscriptions (Hockey Plus Minus PRO)
The App offers an optional premium subscription ("PRO") that unlocks advanced features, including but not limited to AI Gamesheet Scanning, Bench Boss AI, and Auto-Scout Reports.
Billing: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase.
Auto-Renewal: Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Cancellation: You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your App Store Account Settings after purchase. Canceling a subscription does not grant a refund for the current billing cycle, but will stop future charges.
Refunds: All billing and refunds are handled entirely by Apple. We cannot manually issue refunds.
3. Data Storage and Backups
Local Storage: The primary data generated within the App (including teams, rosters, and game logs) is stored locally on your device.
Data Loss: You are solely responsible for routinely exporting or backing up your data using the App's built-in backup tools. If you delete the App, lose your device, or experience a hardware failure without a backup, your data will be permanently lost. We are not liable for any lost season data or statistics.
Registration Data: Upon creating an account, your Name and Email are transmitted securely to our external database (via Zapier) for account management and communication purposes. Please review our Privacy Policy for more details.
4. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Features & OCR
The App integrates with third-party Artificial Intelligence APIs (Google Gemini) to power features like "Bench Boss" and "AI Gamesheet Scanning."
Accuracy: AI and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) are not perfect. The App may occasionally misread gamesheets, attribute goals/penalties to the wrong players, or generate inaccurate coaching advice.
Coach Responsibility: You agree that it is your responsibility to verify all imported data and independently evaluate any coaching, tactical, or drill recommendations made by the AI. We are not liable for any game outcomes, lost statistics, or coaching decisions made based on AI output.
API Usage: If you are required to provide your own API key to use certain features, you are responsible for any usage costs, limits, or terms imposed by the third-party API provider.
5. Intellectual Property
All original content, features, and functionality within the App—including the Weiss Tech Hockey Playbook content, drill index, algorithms, and interface design—are the exclusive property of Weiss Tech Hockey and are protected by international copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute the App's underlying content without our express written permission.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, completely secure, or operate without interruption.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use or inability to use the App.
8. Apple-Specific Terms
Since you downloaded this App from the Apple App Store, the following terms apply:
You acknowledge that these Terms are concluded between you and us only, not with Apple.
Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the App.
Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the
App, including product liability claims, consumer protection claims, or intellectual property infringement.
You acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that Apple will have the right to enforce these Terms against you.
